When our clients moved into this home, the setting was right, but the main family room and rec room did not reflect how they wanted to live. Both spaces were craving refinement and warmth, along with a clearer sense of character.

We shaped the family room to feel transitional with classic detailing. A custom concrete-cast fireplace surround anchors the space with tailored presence, while surrounding millwork introduces architectural depth. Soft textiles, including a tailored Roman shade and custom bench cushion, add warmth and comfort. The room feels inviting and composed, equally suited to hosting guests or settling in for the evening.

In the rec room, materiality leads. The stone-clad walls ground the space, complemented by a custom concrete mantel, richer wood tones, classic hardware, and layered lighting.. The atmosphere evokes a relaxed, rustic sensibility without feeling themed. Together, these rooms reflect our clients’ taste while remaining elevated and cohesive. Each has its own character, yet both feel inviting and enduring.
