Set along the oceanfront in Powell River, this custom home was designed as a return to roots. Drawn back to the Qathet region where she grew up, our client envisioned a home deeply connected to its setting while supporting modern family life. With her brother-in-law serving as architect, the project was both personal and collaborative from the start.

Through full-service design, we shaped interiors to complement the home’s contemporary architecture while softening it with warmth and texture. Clean lines and expansive glazing establish a strong architectural framework, while natural materials introduce depth and approachability.

Wood tones, stone surfaces, and a restrained palette echo the surrounding landscape, creating continuity throughout. The home feels refined yet relaxed, shaped equally by its coastal setting and the family who gathers there.
